Yellow - Coldplay

I want to talk about one song and i'm sure you know about this song. it's called Yellow by Coldplay.
Yellow was a song in their debut album, Parachutes (2000). The song's lyrics are a reference to band vocalist Chris Martin's unrequited love.

The history of making this song was so simple. One night after finishing recording "Shiver", the lead single of the album, the band took a break and went out of the studio. Outside, there were few lights on and the stars in the sky. He told the band to look at the stars, which they did. Vocalist Chris Martin was inspired by the sight and the song's main melody At first, Martin did not take it seriously, but then Martin's idea worked out when he had developed the tempo of the verse. When guitarist Jonny Buckland started playing it and supplemented it with his ideas, they had created the riff.
, consisting of a chord pattern, popped into his head.
While composing the song's lyrics, Martin could not find the right words. He was thinking of a specific word, which he deemed a missing key word in the lyrics, to fit the song's concept. He looked around the studio and found the telephone directory Yellow Pages, which happened to be situated nearest to him. Martin later titled the song "Yellow" as a reference to the directory. The lyrics progressed from there with the band collaborating. Bassist Guy Berryman came up with the opening line "Look at the stars". That night, having quickly composed the song, the band recorded it.

For me this song was so nice. The lyrics is simple but yet meaningful.

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, they were all yellow.

I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called "Yellow".

So then I took my turn,
Oh what a thing to have done,
And it was all yellow.

Your skin,
Oh yeah your skin and bones,
Turn into
Something beautiful,
You know,
You know I love you so,
You know I love you so.

I swam across,
I jumped across for you,
Oh what a thing to do.
'Cause you were all yellow,

I drew a line,
I drew a line for you,
Oh what a thing to do,
And it was all yellow.

Your skin,
Oh yeah your skin and bones,
Turn into
Something beautiful,
And you know,
For you I'd bleed myself dry,
For you I'd bleed myself dry.

It's true,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine.

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And all the things that you do.

Aurora Borealis

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky (from the Latin word aurora, "sunrise" or the Roman goddess of dawn), predominantly seen in the high latitude (Arctic and Antarctic) regions. Auroras are caused by charged particles, mainly electrons and protons, entering the atmosphere from above causing ionisation and excitation of atmospheric constituents, and consequent optical emissions. Incident protons can also produce emissions as hydrogen atoms after gaining an electron from the atmosphere.
A full understanding of the physical processes which lead to different types of auroras is still incomplete, but the basic cause involves the interaction of the solar wind with the Earth’s magnetosphere. The varying intensity of the solar wind produces effects of different magnitudes, but includes one or more of the following physical scenarios.

  1. A quiescent solar wind flowing past the Earth’s magnetosphere steadily interacts with it and can both inject solar wind particles directly onto the geomagnetic field lines that are ‘open’, as opposed to being ‘closed’ in the opposite hemisphere, and provide diffusion through the bow shock. It can also cause particles already trapped in the radiation belts to precipitate into the atmosphere. Once particles are lost to the atmosphere from the radiation belts, under quiet conditions new ones replace them only slowly, and the loss-cone becomes depleted. In the magnetotail, however, particle trajectories seem constantly to reshuffle, probably when the particles cross the very weak magnetic field near the equator. As a result, the flow of electrons in that region is nearly the same in all directions ("isotropic"), and assures a steady supply of leaking electrons. The leakage of electrons does not leave the tail positively charged, because each leaked electron lost to the atmosphere is replaced by a low energy electron drawn upward from the ionosphere. Such replacement of "hot" electrons by "cold" ones is in complete accord with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. The complete process, which also generates an electric ring current around the Earth, is uncertain.
  2. Geomagnetic disturbance from an enhanced solar wind causes distortions of the magnetotail ("magnetic substorms"). These ‘substorms’ tend to occur after prolonged spells (hours) during which the interplanetary magnetic field has had an appreciable southward component. This leads to a higher rate of interconnection between its field lines and those of Earth. As a result, the solar wind moves magnetic flux (tubes of magnetic field lines, ‘locked’ together with their resident plasma) from the day side of Earth to the magnetotail, widening the obstacle it presents to the solar wind flow and constricting the tail on the night-side. Ultimately some tail plasma can separate ("magnetic reconnection"); some blobs ("plasmoids") are squeezed downstream and are carried away with the solar wind; others are squeezed toward Earth where their motion feeds strong outbursts of auroras, mainly around midnight ("unloading process"). A geomagnetic storm resulting from greater interaction adds many more particles to the plasma trapped around Earth, also producing enhancement of the "ring current". Occasionally the resulting modification of the Earth's magnetic field can be so strong that it produces auroras visible at middle latitudes, on field lines much closer to the equator than those of the auroral zone.
  3. Acceleration of auroral charged particles invariably accompanies a magnetospheric disturbance that causes an aurora. This mechanism, which is believed to predominantly arise from wave-particle interactions, raises the velocity of a particle in the direction of the guiding magnetic field. The pitch angle is thereby decreased, and increases the chance of it being precipitated into the atmosphere. Both electromagnetic and electrostatic waves, produced at the time of greater geomagnetic disturbances, make a significant contribution to the energising processes that sustain an aurora. Particle acceleration provides a complex intermediate process for transferring energy from the solar wind indirectly into the atmosphere.

People work hard recently. Man or woman, they work day and night for their needs.
Do they have time to wash their favorite shoes?
I guess they must be too tired.
So I'm thinking about to make a kind of inovation from a laundry.

Come and feel the satisfaction!

Let's See What I've Got This Holiday...

This holiday, I didn’t come anywhere because my dad was so busy with his job and my mom was sick. So I spent my one week with finished my collage project. This might be look standard, or somehow, bad. But, I am so happy with my “creature”.

Well, at Sunday, January 4th, I went to Grafika Cikole with my friends to do our English project. We made a “Snow White and The Huntsman”’s short movie. We rented a little cottage there and we also rented a costume for Snow White, the Queen, the magic mirror, and properties for the Huntsman. It should be 9 of us but one of us didn’t come so we were just 8, 6 girls and 2 boys. We started to take a shoot at about 2 p.m, then sadly the boys should go home at 6 p.m., so there were 6 girls only in that cottage, lil bit creepy but what should we do?

the view
Our cottage

So after Maghrib we went out of the cottage and looked for something to eat. And we only found fried rice. I got something to learned about.  The fried rice was 12k rupiah and 15k rupiah if you want additional egg. Two of my friends pay together and the total was 27k. they paid, and the seller said “how much the change?”, so we replied “23 thousand”. And when I wanted to pay for mine, it was 15k rupiah. I gave the seller 50k. you must see how he (the seller), count for change. He made 50k into fractions of 10k and 5k. he took the 15k, and the rest, he gave it to me.

sorry for the bad ilustration.

It was so sad how this man couldn’t count well. Maybe it’s not only him, maybe some of people in that area do the same as he did. Alhamdulillah I still have spirit and money (from my parents of course) to go to school.

When After ate, we go back to the cottage and made a camp fire, and we finished our shoot. We finished it at about 11.30 p.m and it was so exhausting. The next day we took for some scene and we laid in our bed because we were so tired. At 10 a.m. we checked out early and we took some photos until about 11 a.m. the we went back to Bandung by Chacha’s car. We put in SMA 3 and in there I was took by my junior high’s friend to go to Jonas Banda. In there we were take photo with our pinky jersey.

We are called "K.I.B", we were had an idea to made that jersey because we often have a 'futsal' match, and alhamdulillah we always win :')

In January 9th, me and K.I.B made a birthday surprise for the four of us. They were Uli, Davy, Rasyid, and Kukuh. Davy was had a birthday in Desember 29th, Davy in Desember 31st, Rasyid in January 9th, and Kukuh in January 12th (we celebrate him early xD).

SO SORRY FOR MY FACE XD

I don't know how I could tell you this but i'm so in love with them. We were busy struggling for the national exam but i dont know, we still had time to be together, we spent our time even it was just a kind of 'botram' at break time in front of the class, changed the class into the karaoke room and we sang together. We have had our smile, laugh, anger, tears, tired, we through it all. it was only a year with them but it feels like i've been know them all since i was a baby :")

ok back to my journal...

In January 10th, I went to Hanamasa with those thingy. The boy in the center, he 's Rasyid. Yes, the birthday boy. He treated us, Thanks, bud.

And yes, if you finished read this, it means my journal has done.

The Legend of Telaga Warna

Long long ago, there was a kingdom in West Java. The kingdom was ruled by a king named His Majesty Prabu.
Prabu was a kind and wise king. But it was a pity that Prabu and his queen hadn't got any children. The queen often cried. That was why Prabu went to the jungle. There he prayed to God every day, begging for a child.
A few months later, the queen got pregnant. Nine months later, a princess was born. Prabu and Queen loved their beautiful daughter so much. They gave whatever she wanted. It made Princess turn into a very spoiled girl.
One day, the princess celebrated her 17th birthday party. Many people gathered in the palace. Then, Prabu took out a necklace which was made from gold and jewel.
"My beloved daughter, today I give you this necklace. Please, wear this necklace," said Prabu.
Telaga warna
"I don't want to wear it! It's ugly!" shouted the princess. Then she threw the necklace. The beautiful necklace was broken. The gold and jewels were spread out on the floor. Everybody couldn't say anything. They never thought that their beloved princess would do that cruel thing. In their silence, people heard the queen crying. Every woman felt sad and began crying, too. Then, everybody was crying. Then, there was a miracle. Earth was crying.
Suddenly, from the underground, a spring emerged. It made a pool of water. Soon, the place became a big lake. The lake finally sank the kingdom.
Nowadays, people called the lake "Telaga Warna". It means "Lake of Color". On a bright day, the lake is full of color. These colors come from shadows of forest, plants, flowers, and sky around the lake. But some people said that the colors are from the princess's necklace, which spreads at the bottom of the lake.

Macchu Picchu

Have you ever heard about Macchu Picchu?

Macchu Picchu, or Macchu Pikchu, or also called ‘Lost City of the Incas’ is an area which is become the heritage of Inca Kingdom. It is the ruins of the Inca Kingdom. It is 2350 m above the sea level and located in Urubamba in Peru, South America.

Built in the 1450’s, and left a hundred years later when Spain came and defeated them. This site was once forgot by the international, but not by the local people. Time by time, in 1911, this site was found and brought to the world by an archaeologist from Yale University, Hiram Bingham III. From that time, Macchu Picchu became an attraction of the tourist whether it is local or foreign tourists.

Macchu Picchu was built with old Inca style. Its main building are Inti Watana, The Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. According to the history, these buildings were dedicated to their sun God.

Macchu Picchu was accepted by UNESCO and became one of the world’s heritage in 1983. It is also became one of the new 7 wonders of the world and got almost 400.000 visitors in 2003.

A great and amazing structure like this must be taken care of. Not only by the officer or by the UNESCO, but also us, the visitors. At least we know such a site like this so this will never be destroyed, or worst, forgotten.

Know your culture. Love your country.

On Saturday, September 27th 3 Junior High School held a kind of cultural festival called MATSWAPATI. It is held to celebrate Bandung’s 204th anniversary. it was located in Lapangan Bali. In the ticket it was written “8 a.m until 7 p.m”, but in fact it was open gate at 10 a.m, then close gate at 4 p.m, and finished at 8.30 p.m.

The decoration is quite simple. From the ticketbox we can see the gate with the word “MATSWAPATI” with a kind of cultural icon called wayang. If we enter the gate, there will be 2 sections: boys side and girls side. It used for body and bag checking. We are prohibited to bring perfume, cosmetics, weapon, and also foods & drinks from the outside as written in the backside of ticket.
We got more closer, on the left side there was ‘Jajanan’ section and a view upon us was the stage. It was big with the face of Matswapati at the top of the stage. By the way, Matswapati was taken from the name of the king of all wayangs. Get back to the decoration, around the field there were some stands from every 10th and 11th grade. X IPA 1 and XI IPA 1 joined to make a stand together, and also another class. The stands were fill with mini games, photo booth (for you information there was a photobooth that allowed us to took a photo with our crush, anyone, senior for example wkwk), face painting, and many more. In the center of the field there was a tent for sound system.
At the Jajanan, there were some kind of foods such as kebab, cilor (aci telor), batagor, fried rice, cendol, brownies, and many more. They were quite expensive but some of them were worth to pay I guess.

Let’s talk about the rundown.at 7 a.m., we (10th grade) were gathering in front of Lapangan Bali with our own cultural clothes and properties to join the parade. Not only us who joined it. There were students from SDN Kartika, SMP Negeri 2 Bandung, and many more. After parade, we all enter the matswapati and saw the LSS’s performance. Then, there was a welcome speech from the mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, and from principal of SMA Negeri 3 Bandung, Mr. Encang. At his welcome speech, Mr. Ridwan Kamil gave total 6 tickets of Trans Studio Bandung. Sadly, I’m not one of them.
KV3
Then, there were a lot of performances. There were performances from MK3, T’ST, KV3, and many more that honestly I can’t mentione it hehe. So…. When the afternoon come, the stage was getting crowded. There was a perform from BARSENA!!! It was so cool! He sang Royals by Lorde, and the best was he sang Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj! There were another song he sang but clearly I only remember it hehe. Barsena was perfomed until Maghrib. Then we had a break for some minutes then he just continued the show!!!!!! He sang until about 7 p.m.......

THE CROWDS!!!

BARSENA!

Epic
the last one was…. GLENN FREDLY! THIS WAS THE CLIMAX OF MATSWAPATI! The crowds were epic!! Glenn sang a lot of songs such as Kisah Romantis, Terserah, You Are My Everything, and the time we all danced was when he sang Hikayat Cintaku! He also sang Bento by Iwan Fals which was expressed our (Glenn and us, the crowd) that we truly, madly, deeply DISAGREE with the decision from the parlemen that we can’t choose our next leader by ourself! There were a lot of song that sang by him but I can’t mentioned each of them.

WOohoooooo

No need more to explain, MATSWAPATI was great! Even if my legs were so tired hahah but all I needed to say was thank you. Thank you for all of you who was come to Matswapati, thank you for all of the comitte who have done a great work! And for all the people who were took a part in this event, thank you.
