The Legend of Telaga Warna

Long long ago, there was a kingdom in West Java. The kingdom was ruled by a king named His Majesty Prabu.
Prabu was a kind and wise king. But it was a pity that Prabu and his queen hadn't got any children. The queen often cried. That was why Prabu went to the jungle. There he prayed to God every day, begging for a child.
A few months later, the queen got pregnant. Nine months later, a princess was born. Prabu and Queen loved their beautiful daughter so much. They gave whatever she wanted. It made Princess turn into a very spoiled girl.
One day, the princess celebrated her 17th birthday party. Many people gathered in the palace. Then, Prabu took out a necklace which was made from gold and jewel.
"My beloved daughter, today I give you this necklace. Please, wear this necklace," said Prabu.
Telaga warna
"I don't want to wear it! It's ugly!" shouted the princess. Then she threw the necklace. The beautiful necklace was broken. The gold and jewels were spread out on the floor. Everybody couldn't say anything. They never thought that their beloved princess would do that cruel thing. In their silence, people heard the queen crying. Every woman felt sad and began crying, too. Then, everybody was crying. Then, there was a miracle. Earth was crying.
Suddenly, from the underground, a spring emerged. It made a pool of water. Soon, the place became a big lake. The lake finally sank the kingdom.
Nowadays, people called the lake "Telaga Warna". It means "Lake of Color". On a bright day, the lake is full of color. These colors come from shadows of forest, plants, flowers, and sky around the lake. But some people said that the colors are from the princess's necklace, which spreads at the bottom of the lake.

Macchu Picchu

Have you ever heard about Macchu Picchu?

Macchu Picchu, or Macchu Pikchu, or also called ‘Lost City of the Incas’ is an area which is become the heritage of Inca Kingdom. It is the ruins of the Inca Kingdom. It is 2350 m above the sea level and located in Urubamba in Peru, South America.

Built in the 1450’s, and left a hundred years later when Spain came and defeated them. This site was once forgot by the international, but not by the local people. Time by time, in 1911, this site was found and brought to the world by an archaeologist from Yale University, Hiram Bingham III. From that time, Macchu Picchu became an attraction of the tourist whether it is local or foreign tourists.

Macchu Picchu was built with old Inca style. Its main building are Inti Watana, The Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. According to the history, these buildings were dedicated to their sun God.

Macchu Picchu was accepted by UNESCO and became one of the world’s heritage in 1983. It is also became one of the new 7 wonders of the world and got almost 400.000 visitors in 2003.

A great and amazing structure like this must be taken care of. Not only by the officer or by the UNESCO, but also us, the visitors. At least we know such a site like this so this will never be destroyed, or worst, forgotten.

Know your culture. Love your country.

On Saturday, September 27th 3 Junior High School held a kind of cultural festival called MATSWAPATI. It is held to celebrate Bandung’s 204th anniversary. it was located in Lapangan Bali. In the ticket it was written “8 a.m until 7 p.m”, but in fact it was open gate at 10 a.m, then close gate at 4 p.m, and finished at 8.30 p.m.

The decoration is quite simple. From the ticketbox we can see the gate with the word “MATSWAPATI” with a kind of cultural icon called wayang. If we enter the gate, there will be 2 sections: boys side and girls side. It used for body and bag checking. We are prohibited to bring perfume, cosmetics, weapon, and also foods & drinks from the outside as written in the backside of ticket.
We got more closer, on the left side there was ‘Jajanan’ section and a view upon us was the stage. It was big with the face of Matswapati at the top of the stage. By the way, Matswapati was taken from the name of the king of all wayangs. Get back to the decoration, around the field there were some stands from every 10th and 11th grade. X IPA 1 and XI IPA 1 joined to make a stand together, and also another class. The stands were fill with mini games, photo booth (for you information there was a photobooth that allowed us to took a photo with our crush, anyone, senior for example wkwk), face painting, and many more. In the center of the field there was a tent for sound system.
At the Jajanan, there were some kind of foods such as kebab, cilor (aci telor), batagor, fried rice, cendol, brownies, and many more. They were quite expensive but some of them were worth to pay I guess.

Let’s talk about the rundown.at 7 a.m., we (10th grade) were gathering in front of Lapangan Bali with our own cultural clothes and properties to join the parade. Not only us who joined it. There were students from SDN Kartika, SMP Negeri 2 Bandung, and many more. After parade, we all enter the matswapati and saw the LSS’s performance. Then, there was a welcome speech from the mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, and from principal of SMA Negeri 3 Bandung, Mr. Encang. At his welcome speech, Mr. Ridwan Kamil gave total 6 tickets of Trans Studio Bandung. Sadly, I’m not one of them.
KV3
Then, there were a lot of performances. There were performances from MK3, T’ST, KV3, and many more that honestly I can’t mentione it hehe. So…. When the afternoon come, the stage was getting crowded. There was a perform from BARSENA!!! It was so cool! He sang Royals by Lorde, and the best was he sang Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj! There were another song he sang but clearly I only remember it hehe. Barsena was perfomed until Maghrib. Then we had a break for some minutes then he just continued the show!!!!!! He sang until about 7 p.m.......

THE CROWDS!!!

BARSENA!

Epic
the last one was…. GLENN FREDLY! THIS WAS THE CLIMAX OF MATSWAPATI! The crowds were epic!! Glenn sang a lot of songs such as Kisah Romantis, Terserah, You Are My Everything, and the time we all danced was when he sang Hikayat Cintaku! He also sang Bento by Iwan Fals which was expressed our (Glenn and us, the crowd) that we truly, madly, deeply DISAGREE with the decision from the parlemen that we can’t choose our next leader by ourself! There were a lot of song that sang by him but I can’t mentioned each of them.

WOohoooooo

No need more to explain, MATSWAPATI was great! Even if my legs were so tired hahah but all I needed to say was thank you. Thank you for all of you who was come to Matswapati, thank you for all of the comitte who have done a great work! And for all the people who were took a part in this event, thank you.

My Unforgettable Experience.

I was 9 years old that day. I still live in my grandparent’s house because I don’t know, I got cozier in there. I used to take a singing lesson in Elfa’s in 2002 until 2005 then I took singing lesson in Purwacaraka Griya Mas until 2007. After that I took a singing lesson in Purwacaraka in Bungur every Saturday. My father used to take me up to Purwacaraka, but that day my father is on a duty to Madiun. So my grandparent’s have to took me up.

We went by a motorcycle. A motorcycle with 3 people on it. I  wasn’t too big that day hahaha so that’s just fit. My grandpa rode it. My grandma was on my back and I’m in the center. The traffic was going well when suddenly a car grazed my motorcycle. I was so sleepy that day so when I fell, I didn’t realize that I was falling. I just opened my eyes and I was dying in the center of the road with a glasses full of blood. That car was get caught by the people around that road before it runaway. Me, my grandpa and my grandma was brought to Hasan Sadikin Hospital. The worst scar was my grandma’s. the second was me. My grandpa was only got a little scar on his forehead.

In the hospital, because my grandpa just had a little scar, he was only sticked his forehead with plaster. He accompany me in doing a treatment because I was crying all the time. My grandma had an intensive treatment in the other room. I got wound in the forehead and had to be stitched with 6 stitches and got a rontgen. My treatment was done in 7 p.m. my family was there that night. My father and mom, uncle, aunt, and the others. I wasin the hospital because I had to wait for my grandma. She hasn’t got a rontgen. While waiting, I ate padang’s food hehehehe I love it much. And we waited for my grandma until 11 p.m. It took a long time because there’s a lot of queues. At about 11 p.m. we were all sent to home.

That moment will be so hard to forget because clearly I got a stitches on my forehead so when I a little bit forget, I just can remember it all when I see my forehead.

About My Friend, Shafira.

Her name is Shafira Akhiria Hanani. She always called Shafira. She was born in Yogyakarta, August 21st 1999. Her zodiac is Leo. She is the third child in her family. She lives in Jalan Jatayu Dalam II no.9 Bandung. She came from Junior High School 2 Bandung. Her previous class is X Science IV. Now she is my classmate and my chairmate hehehe. She is beautiful, have white skin, sweet smile and wears hijab. She loves reading books. I wonder why she loves reading books but she doesn’t wear glasses hahaha. She love read adventure books. She also loves to play a music. When she find a good song, she always repeat it over and over again, never get bored. Same like me, I can repeat a song in a week even more hahaha. Pop, jazz, and classic? Those are what she loves!

She also like watching movies. She loves science-fiction, I love chick-flick rather than sci-fi, yeah sci-fi is my number two. She loves Inception the most. I always think that Inception is a heavy film.  It is a film about a dream in a dream in a dream and just like that. It contains confusions hahah but she love it all the way because she loves Leonardo Dicaprio hahaah. She is a kind-hearted girl and smart. She is a little bit paranoid, overthinking exactly. She often worries about something that doesn’t even happen yet. Same as me hahah we always got negative thinking on something like ‘How if ...’ or ‘im afraid he/she/it will …’, so much thinking. She is also a kind of girl that keep her problems alone. She prefer keep it by herself rather than tell some to her friends. It is hard for her to show her anger. Different with me that is always tell my closest friends if I got problem hahhah.

In education, she have got the first place in religion quiz competiton in Bandung. She is also good in most of all subjects in school. She still doesn’t know where to apply college, but she wants to be an entrepreneur or a founder of social foundations. I hope we’ll be a good friend J

About Me

My name is Thalita Zahra Awalia Wahid. You can call me Lita or Thalita or whatever it is. I was born on August 30th 1999. I’m the first child in my family. I have a sister and a brother. They are still in elementary school. I was study at Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan. And then I accepted in SMPN 1 Cimahi.  And Alhamdulillah now I am studying at SMAN 3 Bandung in Acceleration 2 class. I want to be a doctor. Pediatrician actually.
I love singing, that’s my hobby since I was 3 years old. I also love going outside, go to mall or try some restaurant and cafĂ©. I hate cats, dogs, insects, and any disgusting animal. Cats and dogs sometimes look so cute but I don’t know I’m just afraid if they’re close to me. I was a coward girl. I was afraid of dark, high, animals, clown, in fact I never play odong-odong. But as the time goes by, I push myself to play flying fox or some outbond activities, to sleep with the light off, to take a pose with a clown. I want to try to play odong-odong but I’m getting older now hehehe.
When I was in elementary school, I was a fan of Justin Bieber. Then in junior high school I found a boyband with a handsome moeslim guy as their member hehe. There are called One Direction. I got crush on Zayn Malik heheheh from that day on I started to collect their merchandise such as posters, stickers, even official book that spent a lot of my money because I have to buy it import. Time by time, I realize that those stuff are just waste. So I stop collecting stuffs like that and start to focus on something more important to pay on.
I’m not a kind of student who always got intention from teachers. I’m not the best student. But I am also not a bad student. But in some case, I got a little bit bad remark in every level of aducation. In elementary school, I got a punishment by a teacher because I broke a small window in my class. Actually I kicked it, accidentally. Then I did an ignorant thing to my friend. In junior high, I got some misunderstanding with my teacher. Bad communication I thought. It was horrible. But luckily i got friends that still accepted me as I am until now. As most of you guys know that some people only exist when we’re on top, when we’re struggling, they just left. Believe me or not I have a friend who still stay really close to me even I spewed him with the-rice-that-is-still-chewed in the center of food court. A lot of people looked at us. Disgusting yet embrassing, right? If I were him, maybe I got angry, but he wasn’t hehehehe. I know maybe most of you guys think that all the bad experiences that I had through are the emberrasing thing that I should not post or tell of. But I accepted it as my bad experiences yet my best teacher. I learned how to love our facilities and use our part of body in their own purpose. I learned how to respesct our friends and how to act politely to the teachers. Not only teachers, but also people in our environment. I also learned that whatever how weird we are, we are not alone, there must be someone who will accepted us and be a friend of us no matter what.
